The Berrien County Health Department will host its annual Back-to-School Bash this month. Health department hearing and vision coordinator Melisa Jordan tells us the event is a way to help parents get their kids ready for a new school year. The first will be at the Berrien County Health Department office in Benton Harbor on Tuesday, August 25, while the second will be at its office in Niles on Thursday, August 27. “We have cotton candy and popcorn at our Benton Harbor back to school bash and at our Niles back to school bash, we’re going to have popcorn offered as well as other snacks. Jordan says the health department screened more than 130 kids with the events last year.
