The national newspaper included Blackpool in a round-up of the UK's top piers for dining, nightlife and family fun, naming the resort the best destination for variety.
In the feature, The Guardian said: "Blackpool is the proud home of three piers," highlighting the different attractions offered by North Pier, Central Pier and South Pier.
The Guardian added: "The south pier has a more high-octane funfair, with a rollercoaster, a freefalling swing and a reverse bungee ride."
Celebrating Britain's surviving piers, the feature noted that only around half of the country's original 100 pleasure piers remain today.
The article, written by Rachel Dixon, described Britain's piers as important reminders of Victorian engineering and entrepreneurship, with many continuing to attract visitors more than a century after they were first built.
