The awards, announced by the Guild of Fine Food on Thursday, 30 July, highlight some of the best food and drink products from across the UK. Across East Lancashire, 11 food producers picked up awards, with four picking up the coveted two-star. The accreditation scheme aims to provide retailers and inform food lovers about the most exceptional food and drink, and the independent companies you can buy them from. Burnley-based Doughball Pizza Ltd added five more stars to the eight it received last year, taking its total Great Taste Awards haul into double figures.
