PC Salway is accused of striking a colleague to the head on January 4 whilst off-duty. A misconduct hearing advert published by the force said it is alleged that the matters amount to gross misconduct and breach their standards. A hearing chaired by Assistant Chief Constable Stasia Osiowy is due to take place at Ormskirk Police Station on Thursday (August 6). Anyone wishing to apply to attend the hearing has until 12pm today (August 4) to do so. If found to be proven, PC Salway would face disciplinary proceedings which could include being kicked off the force.
