Cefn Mawr’s High Street will be shut from Monday, August 17, as Network Plus, working on behalf of Scottish Power, installs new underground mains cables.
The closure affects the section between the junctions with Mount Pleasant and Rock Lane, spanning a distance of 388 metres.
Traffic will be diverted via Well Street, Crane Street, and B5096 King Street, and signs will be put out to help traffic.
Wrexham County Borough Council has issued the closure notice under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, allowing for a maximum closure period of 18 months, although works are expected to take 12 days.
