From today, the availability of new titles and Add-ons for Train Sim World 6 will only be available on certain consoles. The latest console, known as the Gen 8 console, covers PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, and from today, new titles and Add-ons will only be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC platforms (Steam, Xbox for PC and Epic Games. However, future releases of Train Sim World will not be playable on PlayStation 4 or Xbox One, but anyone upgrading to PS5 or Xbox Series S|X will find that their games and add-ons will remain, provided they are in the same ecosystems, such as PlayStation or Xbox. When upgrading from Xbox One to Xbox Series S|X , the saved data is associated with players’ Xbox accounts and can be synchronised with any Xbox platform. Last week, Dovetail Games released its first Japanese line for Train Sim World 6, the Tadami Line: Aizu-Wakamatsu – Tadami, and on 21st July it released Thames Valley Branches covering the branch lines from the Great Western Main Line from Paddington to Henley, Marlow, and Windsor.
