A former Jersey City postal worker pleaded guilty to repeatedly burglarizing post offices to steal mail back in early 2023, U.S. Attorney Robert Frazer announced.
During each burglary, Johnson entered after business hours with the intent of stealing mail from the post office.
For example, on January 10th, 2023, Johnson broke into a post office in Jersey City and stole two USPS mail bins and a parcel bin, according to court documents.
According to her indictment, she stole from the Journal Square post office in Jersey City five times, as well as the Bergen South Post Office once.
Frazer credited postal inspectors with the United States Postal Inspection Service, under the direction of Inspector in Charge Christopher Nielsen, Philadelphia Division, with the investigation.
