June Boone Purcell, age 81, of the Sinks Community departed this life on August 1, 2026, at Norton Brownsboro Hospital in Louisville, KY. She was born November 25, 1944, to the late H.H. She was a retired para-professional educator who worked in excess of twenty years for the Grayson County School System at H.W. Wilkey and Grayson County High School. She is survived by her husband of 47 years, James C. (Jim) Purcell, sons Allen Tabor (Kelly), James H. Tabor, and a special daughter, Tracey Fulkerson (GW). She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother David Boone, sisters Opal Boone and Diane Scott.
