Black Panther III was announced this year at Comic-Con, and it was revealed that David Jonsson will be playing the son of T’Challa, the next in line to take over the Black Panther mantle. Franchise director Ryan Coogler is returning to helm the sequel, and now we have a report that one of the first Black Panther stars is in talks to return for the third film. According to Jeff Sneider’s report, Oscar winner Daniel Kaluuya (Get Out, Nope) is closing in on a deal to reprise W’Kabi in Black Panther 3, after not returning for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. Sneider shared the update in a recent newsletter, writing that Kaluuya “is nearing a deal to reprise his role as W’Kabi, who sat out the prior installment.” Black Panther III is set to be released in theaters on December 15, 2028.
