A new poll asked, “If you were being called for jury duty, would you prefer to serve on a jury or to NOT serve?” Somewhat surprisingly, 34% say they’d rather serve on a jury, 44% would prefer NOT to, and 21% are “not sure.” Midwesterners (37%) are more likely to say they’d be down to sit on a jury than people in other areas of the country. Men (37%) are also more likely to be cool with it than women (32%), and Boomers (44%) are more likely to be into it. For what it’s worth, 15% of people say they’ve been called for jury duty “many times,” while 47% say it’s only happened “once or twice,” and 34% claim they’ve never been called.
