The fundraiser, held on Saturday, July 18 at Wickhamford Sports Club, was organised in memory of Staff Sergeant Alex 'Mac' McCullough, who died from cancer in January 2025. Cadets from the Evesham and Malvern detachments took part in the event to raise money for St Richard’s Hospice in Worcestershire. Ssgt McCullough joined the Army Cadet Force in December 2014 at the Evesham detachment. In 2020, he returned to the Hereford & Worcester Army Cadet Force as an adult instructor, later earning promotions to Sergeant in August 2021 and Staff Sergeant in March 2024. He was also passionate about the performing arts and studied Theatre Studies at Worcester University while volunteering with the ACF.
