BY-ELECTION: Ian Davidson chief executive of Tendring District Council, posting the Statement of Persons Nominated for the Clacton by-election, at Clacton Town Hall. The Clacton by-election was prompted by the resignation of Reform UK leader Nigel Farage. Mr Farage triggered the Clacton by-election, which takes place on August 13, by resigning as an MP amid intense scrutiny of his finances. There are 34 candidates on the ballot, believed to be a record for a UK by-election.
