Castconcrete asks: Most punchlines are funny because they come unexpected, but after years of reviewing comedy, does any act even surprise you anymore? The comedy I get most excited by is the stuff that makes me laugh or gasp *and not know why*. So yes, I still get not-infrequent ‘wow’s and a huge sense of pleasure and privilege to be seeing and writing about comedy.
