Rachel George, an adult nurse registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC), was the subject of a Fitness to Practise Committee hearing in July 2026 over her agency work at Ferns Nursing Home between February and May 2020.
The order limited her to one substantive employer, banning agency work, and prohibited her from being the nurse in charge of any shift and required supervision when administering medication.
Ferns Nursing Home in Yeovil was run by Almondsbury Care Limited.
The panel found that, despite those conditions restricting her work, Mrs George worked several agency shifts at Ferns.
Finding her fitness to practise currently impaired, the panel imposed a striking-off order, meaning Mrs George has been removed from the nursing register.
