THE Scottish Greens have urged the Scottish Government to replace the country’s exam system with continuous assessment as results are published today.
The party’s Shadow Cabinet Secretary for Education, Laura Moodie, has written to the Cabinet Secretary for Education, Culture and Gaelic, demanding full implementation of a major independent review.
Scottish Greens’ Shadow Cabinet Secretary for Education, Laura Moodie said: “For too many young people, everything comes down to a handful of high-stakes exams.
We need an education system that recognises achievement throughout the year, not just on exam day.
“If the Scottish Government now commits to implementing the review in full, it will have the backing of the Scottish Greens, teachers, students and I hope members across Parliament.”
