THE University of Stirling has been named Scottish University of the Year and UK Sports University of the Year in the Daily Mail University Guide 2027.
Stirling was recognised for its rise up the guide’s rankings since 2023, including a 12-place climb this year to enter the UK top 50.

“Upward Mobility”Alastair McCall, editor of the Daily Mail University Guide, said Stirling had risen in the rankings every year since the guide was first published in 2023.
Iona Craig Iona Craig has an NCTJ from Glasgow Clyde, PhD in English Research from University of Strathclyde and a Masters Distinction in History from the University of Stirling.
