A YELLOW weather warning for thunderstorms has been issued across a large swathe of Scotland, stretching from Stirling and Perthshire to Aberdeen. The Met Office alert covers central and eastern parts of the country, with heavy showers, lightning and hail all possible. Not every area covered by the warning is expected to see thunderstorms, but forecasters said some places could be hit by intense downpours over a short period. The full Met Office warning, including its exact timing and affected areas, can be found here.
