At least 3,682 individuals, or more than 1,200 families, have evacuated due to Tropical Depression Luis and the enhanced southwest monsoon, which induced flooding in several areas, according to the Office of Civil Defense (OCD) on Tuesday. The displaced individuals are among the total of 9,381 affected persons, or 7,701 families, affected by the two weather disturbances, Diego Agustin Mariano, OCD deputy spokesperson, told reporters via Viber, citing 6:00 a.m. data. “Reported affected population are from Regions II, III, V, and IX,” Mr. Mariano said. The OCD has not reported any casualties or property damage linked to Tropical Depression Luis and the enhanced southwest monsoon. Meanwhile, the OCD reported 18 flooded areas in Regions I, IX, and the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region (BAR).
