Despite being able to call it a career with a total active military service retirement, Democrat Richard Freudenberg is running for Washington state’s Fifth Congressional District. After graduating from WSU and law school at the University of Washington, Freudenberg joined the Air Force — where he served for eight years— then joined the Washington National Guard and served as a senior attorney in Eastern Washington. Freudenberg believes it would lead to overhead cost savings “across the board.” The right to repair is to give farmers access to the software used to operate their equipment, Freudenberg specified. Freudenberg believes he stands out among the other candidates running for the district because he practiced law in the federal system for nearly 22 years, according to his website.
