The six martial artists who have been selected are from Young Gloves Karate, a Kidderminster club founded in 1999 that has grown into one of the Wyre Forest's leading community organisations. "But for me, Young Gloves Karate has never simply been about producing champions. Also representing the club are Paulina Makazlieva, who is competing in memory of her late father, and another team member. The ICO World Karate Championships take place this October. Young Gloves Karate continues to support the community through martial arts and personal development, inspiring the next generation to believe in themselves.
