The City of Fort Worth is alerting permit applicants to a phishing scam involving fraudulent emails that appear to come from the City.
Residents, contractors, developers, and anyone conducting business with the City’s Development Services Department should use caution when receiving emails requesting payment for permits or development-related services.
The City of Fort Worth will NEVER request payment by wire transfer.
If you receive a suspicious payment request, do not click any links, open attachments, or send payment.
Instead, verify the request directly through your Accela Citizen Access account or contact the City of Fort Worth Development Services Department at 817-392-2222 to confirm whether the email is legitimate.
