ROME, Ga.– Rome Transit has introduced its first major route changes in more than 20 years, affecting bus stops and service areas across the city. The revised Rome Transit routes took effect Monday, Aug. 3. Routes Receive New Color NamesRome Transit replaced its previous route numbers and names with six color-coded lines:Green Line replaces Route 1ABlue Line replaces Route 1BYellow Line replaces Route 2ARed Line replaces Route 2BPurple Line replaces Route 3Orange Line replaces the Ashland Park routeThe colors previously appeared in printed rider guides. Rome Transit also operates curb-to-curb paratransit service for eligible passengers with disabilities who cannot use the fixed-route system. They may also call Rome Transit at 706-236-4523.
