The Minnesota Twins are acquiring reliever Jeff Hoffman in a trade with the Toronto Blue Jays, sources tell ESPN. Hoffman has 51 appearances, tossing 48 innings with 75 strikeouts and a 3.48 earned run average this season. The right-handed reliever is currently in the second season of a three year contract worth $33 million. In exchange for Hoffman, Minnesota sent prospects Dasan Hill (LHP), John Klein (RHP), and Dameury Pena (INF). The Twins made three total trades at the 2026 MLB trade deadline acquiring a trio of pitchers in Hoffman along with fellow reliever AJ Minter (New York Mets) and starter Dean Kremer (Baltimore).
