Launceston’s 89.3 LAFM has said farewell to a much-loved staff member, with technician Mark Nightingale retiring after 41 years at the station. Over that time, Mark has kept everything from the studio mic to the LAFM transmitter operational and functional. Colleagues called in to the show to reminisce, with fellow radio veteran Rob Fairs among those to offer their congratulations to Mark. “He’s such a champion bloke and part of the massive DNA of the station,” said Fairs. “He’s going to be missed.”
