Marwood Church of England School in Great Ayton was recently named a SIAMS Case Study School by the Statutory Inspection of Anglican and Methodist Schools, which assesses how effectively a church school's vision and values support pupils, staff and the wider community. He also heard about improvements at the school, including a new pathway connecting the site to its neighbouring church, Christ Church. Dorothy Walton, headteacher at Marwood Church of England School, said: "We were delighted to welcome our local MP, Rishi Sunak, to school as we celebrated our recent success in being recognised nationally as a SIAMS Case Study School. The school, which continues to play an important role within the wider Great Ayton community, earlier this year pupils took part in a service honouring a Great Ayton RAF pilot whose remains were recently identified.
