A record 21 young people took part in the 2025/26 season of Ceredigion’s Young Sports Reporters Scheme, which offers live football commentary experience in Welsh. Participants this season provided live Welsh-language commentary on football matches across the county, from Bow Street to Cardigan and from Lampeter to Ffostrasol. The season wrapped up with a guided tour of the National Library of Wales’ Screen and Sound Archive - a special treat for the young reporters. Hundreds of children and young people from schools throughout Ceredigion took part in football commentary taster sessions during the season. It will continue to offer young people the chance to deliver live Welsh commentary on local football matches broadcast through Cymru Sport.
