Scarborough festival showcases vibrant Barbadian heritageFrom vendors, a live DJ, and people engaging in friendly road tennis matches, Lux Carnival in partnership with CSN MJ Auto Collision, held the “BIM on the Boulevard” festival on Friday July 24, celebrating Barbadian culture – a good reason for bringing people of different cultures and backgrounds together. Shaunteé Sutton, founder of Anointed, a skincare and wellness company, was not only showcasing her business as a vendor at the event, but also says she attended the event to celebrate Bajan culture. “I’m here to celebrate Bajans all over and to celebrate their culture.” She added that she has a lot of Bajan friends and by attending Bim on the Boulevard, it was nice to know where her friends come from. Moore added that although she doesn’t have any children, if she does know people who do, she would like to pass on all her knowledge of Barbadian culture to them so that the culture can keep going.
