Scott Tomlinson wanted to protect against development the 35 acres of farmland in Clark Hollow, Ligonier Township, that has been in his family since the 1870s. He recently signed a conservation easement agreement with the Western Pennsylvania Conservancy to keep the land as-is — privately owned farmland and woods. While it is farmland, Tomlinson said it has not been farmed for many years.
