Investigators say the woman was trying to help her twenty-three-year-old grandson, who may have been going through a mental health crisis, when she was hurt inside the family home. ASP Stacy Smith, Staff Officer“Police have detained a twenty-three-year-old male of San Jose, Succotz, in connection with a chopping incident which resulted in the grievous harm of a sixty-two-year-old female relative of that male person. The elderly female was rushed for medical attention, where she is now listed in a stable condition. Efforts by police and community members led to the apprehension of the male person who is in custody.
