UPDATE:Just hours after announcing an arrest in the homicide of 15-year-old Samuel Miley, Lafayette Police have issued a significant update to the investigation. Police say the homicide investigation remains active and detectives continue working to identify those responsible. According to the Lafayette Police Department, a 15-year-old Lafayette male was arrested on Monday, August 3, in connection with the homicide investigation. Upon arriving, they found 15-year-old Samuel Miley of Lafayette suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The Criminal Investigations Division immediately launched a homicide investigation, collecting evidence and interviewing witnesses as detectives worked to identify those responsible.
