Clinton County court sets bond hearing in Cameron shooting case

Court records show Collins is charged with first-degree assault, armed criminal action, and first-degree endangering the welfare of a child.
Investigators allege Collins fled the scene on foot before being detained several minutes later by the Missouri State Highway Patrol in the 300 block of South Walnut Street.
Investigators further allege the shooting occurred in close proximity to three juvenile children who were seated at a kitchen table.
A Clinton County judge issued an arrest warrant on August 2, 2026, ordering Collins to be held without bond pending further court proceedings.
During that hearing, the court denied a request for a bond change and scheduled the bond appearance hearing for August 5 at 1:30 p.m.No update was provided as to the condition of the victim.
