NEW DELHI, AUG 3 (PTI): Vice Admiral Manish Chadha, a communication and electronic warfare specialist, on Monday took charge as the new Director General Naval Operations (DGNO). His key afloat appointments include command of Coast Guard Interceptor Boat CGS-05 and Indian Naval Ships Veer, Kirpan, and Mysore, the defence ministry said in a statement. Vice Admiral Chadha succeeds Vice Admiral A N Pramod, who as the DGNO, was closely involved in the planning and operational readiness of the Indian Navy during Operation Sindoor. Vice Admiral Chadha is a communication and electronic warfare specialist, the statement said. At Naval Headquarters, he steered several key projects, besides serving as the Director, International Fleet Review 2016.
