THATCHER, Ariz. — Eastern Arizona College will welcome Grammy Award-winning country music legends The Gatlin Brothers to the Fine Arts Auditorium at 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 2, as part of the trio’s Farewell Celebration Tour. Brothers Larry, Steve and Rudy Gatlin have entertained audiences with their distinctive family harmonies for more than seven decades. After building their early careers in gospel music, they became country music stars during the 1970s and ’80s. They also earned Academy of Country Music awards for single of the year for “All the Gold in California” and album of the year for Straight Ahead. Earlier this year, the Gatlin Brothers celebrated their 70th anniversary with a star-studded tribute at Nashville’s historic Ryman Auditorium.
