Published August 3, 2026Memorial Services for Ruth (Ann) Bateman, 92 years old, who passed away July 21, 2026, will be held at a later date. Born in New Orleans, Ann lived the past 28 years in Picayune, Miss. While Ann worked a number of jobs, she was most proud of her 20 plus years as an employee of Westside Elementary School in Picayune. A special thanks to the neighbors (Carol, Ann, Danacee, Billie, and Allen) who kept an eye on Ann and occasionally provided rides around town. Also thanks to Marie with St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, and the Home Health Care nurses with both Forest General Hospital Home Care, and MedCentris.
