The TCL 2026 Mini-LED TV range has two premium models, identified by the term SQD – they are the TCL C8L and the flagship TCL X11L. Traditionally, one quantum dot is around 60 nanometres in width, but the premium SQD TCL range brings that down to just 5 nanometres – a twelvefold reduction. It’s here that the number of dimming zones in these premium TCL TVs comes into play. The number changes based on each TV’s size as a bigger screen has real estate for more dimming zones. The C8L comes in 65”, 75”, 85” and 98” sizes, with the latter home to 4,000 dimming zones.
