The Justice Department announced Monday it's "largest denaturalization effort ever," touting 25 new complaints filed in the past two weeks alone. "Today marks the largest denaturalization surge in recorded history," Assistant Attorney General for Justice Department's Civil Division Brett Schumate said on X. The department also noted that since the start of the second Trump administration, it has filed 123 civil denaturalization complaints, which it declares is the most in recorded history. "Today's filings represent the largest coordinated denaturalization effort in Department history, but they are only the beginning," he continued. "The Justice Department will continue to use every tool available to protect the integrity of the naturalization process and the safety of the American people.”
