Former Rep. Mike Rogers (R-Mich.) has a lead over Democratic Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed and is falling behind Rep. Haley Stevens (D-Mich.) in the race for Sen. Gary Peters's (D-Mich.) seat, per a new poll.
In contrast, 46 percent of respondents said they would back or were considering backing Rogers, while 43 percent said the same of El-Sayed.

El-Sayed, a physician and progressive activist, is competing against Stevens for a seat being vacated by Peters, who is retiring.
The EPIC-MRA poll took place from July 24 to July 31 and featured 600 likely Michigan general election voters.
