Negeri Sembilan menteri besar Ismail Lasim reporting for his first day of work at the menteri besar’s office at Wisma Negeri in Seremban this morning.
(Bernama pic)SEREMBAN : The Negeri Sembilan government is considering creating deputy executive councillor (exco) posts for several portfolios as part of efforts to strengthen the state administration.
“There may not be enough exco posts to go around, so we are considering creating deputy exco positions for several portfolios that I believe are important,” he told reporters at Wisma Negeri in Seremban today.
Ismail said the proposal was a new approach to the state’s administration, although the number of deputy exco posts had yet to be decided.
The Juasseh assemblyman was sworn in as menteri besar before Yang di-Pertuan Besar Tuanku Muhriz Tuanku Munawir at Istana Besar Seri Menanti on Sunday.
