Indonesia’s Directorate General of Customs and Excise released CCTV footage showing the pilot being inspected at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport in Jakarta on July 29. PETALING JAYA : Kepong MP Lim Lip Eng has urged the authorities to release the CCTV footage of the inspection conducted on the Malaysian pilot at KLIA who was arrested in Indonesia for allegedly smuggling drugs into the country. The DAP lawmaker said that if all safety procedures were followed, there was no reason to withhold the CCTV footage of the suspect’s inspection and luggage scan at KLIA. The CCTV footage is the clearest evidence of how the inspection was conducted, and whether all safety procedures were properly followed. Speaking in a press conference at KLIA yesterday, AKPS director-general Shuhaily Zain said the pilot had cleared all security screening procedures at KLIA before departing that day.
