MACC arrested the director of a design firm in connection with investigations into Tabung Haji at its headquarters yesterday. PETALING JAYA : The director of a design firm has been arrested for allegedly giving free renovations worth RM300,000 on houses belonging to a statutory body’s former chief operating officer (COO) as kickback to secure projects from the organisation. A source in the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission said this followed investigations into the royal commission of inquiry report on Tabung Haji, which was declassified last week. The source said the suspect’s arrest was also linked to the Tabung Haji report. The man in his 50s was also arrested at MACC’s headquarters last night and would be remanded until Thursday.
