PETALING JAYA : A 22-year-old Malaysian was arrested at the Juanda International Airport in Surabaya yesterday after authorities allegedly found nearly 1kg of methamphetamine and more than 1,000 ecstasy pills concealed under a corset.
The suspect, identified by the initials DI, was arrested after arriving on a Batik Air flight from Kuala Lumpur, reported the Jakarta Globe.
Officers allegedly found four packages containing a combined 990g of methamphetamine and four packages containing 1,089 ecstasy pills hidden beneath the corset wrapped around the man’s body.
DI allegedly told investigators that he agreed to work as a courier for an international drug network because he was struggling financially and had accumulated debts.
