NZDFI Publishes Latest Project UpdateMarlborough Research Centre is proud to be a founding partner of New Zealand Dryland Forests Innovation (NZDFI), a collaborative research programme advancing durable eucalypts as a sustainable forestry option for New Zealand. NZDFI has released its latest Project Update (July 2025 – June 2026), highlighting another year of research and development across the programme. This edition includes updates on a new Forest Growers Levy Trust/Te Uru Rākau-funded project, progress from University of Canterbury PhD researchers, seed orchard and propagation developments, and planning for the next national NZDFI field day in Hawke’s Bay in February 2027. The update showcases the breadth of work underway to support resilient, high-value hardwood forestry and demonstrates the strength of collaboration between research organisations, industry and growers.
