The Maryville City Council has voiced no opposition to a request from Sunrise Dispensary to expand its business hours. Current city code allows marijuana dispensaries to operate from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. The proposed change would match liquor store hours, allowing sales from 6 a.m. to 1:30 a.m. An amended ordinance could be considered at the council’s next regular meeting. Police Chief Mike Stolte said expanded hours would benefit shift workers. Council members also discussed a previous agreement for Sunrise to pave its parking lot, with City Manager Ryan Heiland saying the issue is being addressed with store representatives.
