The Singapore Food Agency (SFA) has approved the sale of Aleph Farms’ cultivated beef, making Singapore the second market to clear the company’s Cultivated Thin-Cut Steak and leaving Aleph as the only producer worldwide holding regulatory approval for cultivated beef. Every other cultivated product cleared for sale to date, in any jurisdiction, has been poultry, quail, or seafood. The Cultivated Thin-Cut Steak is the first product in Aleph’s Aleph Cuts line and combines cultivated beef cells with a plant protein base. The company received the first regulatory approval for cultivated beef from Israel’s Ministry of Health, which issued a “No Questions” letter following a review that concluded at the end of 2023 and was announced in January 2024. This milestone reflects years of careful work by our regulatory, quality, and science teams to demonstrate the safety of cultivated beef to a second regulator.
