Motorhomes, trailers and even tents dot the parking lot of Vernon's Kal Tire Place as evacuees from the Bradley Creek Wildfire settle in to wait out evacuation orders. The concourse of the arena was filled with around 100 evacuees, many of them with dogs in tow as they registered with Emergency Support Services volunteers. He said Emergency Support Services volunteers have been “trying hard” and doing “the best they can.” The Emergency Support Services reception centre at Kal Tire Place is open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. to assist displaced residents.
