FOUR men have been arrested and charged after a seven-figure cannabis cultivation was discovered in Hawick. At around 1:40pm on Thursday 30 July, Police Scotland officers executed a warrant at a premises in Dovecot Street in the Scottish Borders town. There, more than 1,600 plants were discovered with an estimated value of at least £1.3m. Chief Inspector David Rourke said: “This was a significant recovery which demonstrates our continued commitment to the Serious Organised Crime Taskforce and the country’s Serious Organised Crime Strategy. “We remain committed to disrupting the sale and supply of illegal drugs in our communities of Hawick.
