Iestyn Lewis Martin, from Abertillery, died at Keepers Pond on July, 8, after he visited with a friend. Gwent Coroners Court heard this morning, August 3, that Mr Martin jumped into the water and swam out as far as he could. Cwmcarn United said: "We are deeply saddened to learn of the tragic passing of former player Iestyn Lewis; he had only recently celebrated his 22nd birthday. Following Mr Martin's death, there have been renewed calls for a defibrillator to be installed at Keepers Pond. "We urge Monmouth, Monmouth County Council, and Brecon Beacons to now take action.
