The Plasyfelin Primary School project, scheduled for completion in March 2027, is progressing well and is already delivering benefits to the community during the build phase.
"Not only will it provide a modern, sustainable learning environment for pupils, but it is already making a positive difference to the local community in its social value achievements."
The school will accommodate up to 420 pupils and include nursery provision, integrated childcare facilities, and expanded sporting amenities for both school and community use.
Work experience placements have also been provided, and sponsorship has been secured for the BAM STEM Space within the new school.
Cllr Jamie Pritchard, leader of the council, said: "I am delighted with the progress being made on the new Plasyfelin Primary School and the key milestones that have already been achieved."
