A major anti-drug operation by the Narcotics Control Commission (NACOC) has led to the arrest of 10 students of Koforidua Technical University (KTU) over the alleged production and sale of cannabis-infused drinks and ice cream during the university’s SRC Hall Week celebrations. Among those arrested is 23-year-old Priscilla Tetteh, whom NACOC has identified as the suspected ringleader of the operation, alongside nine other students. According to the commission, the suspects were arrested while allegedly trading the cannabis-infused products during the celebrations. The commission stressed that cannabis-infused food, beverages and other edible products containing controlled substances remain illegal, warning that offenders will face prosecution. The suspects remain in NACOC custody as investigations continue.
