Apple plans to bring one of the iPhone and Mac’s most useful ecosystem features — cross-device clipboard sync — to Windows PCs. Apple is not adding cross-device clipboard sync support for Windows PCs to iOS because it wants to, though. Apple will work on cross-device clipboard sync between iPhone and Windows PCsOver the last couple of years, Apple opened up iOS to meet EU interoperability requirements under the DMA. Microsoft used the EU interoperability request system to ask Apple for cross-device copy and paste support between iPhone and Windows PCs. As with many of its DMA-driven changes, Apple might introduce cross-device clipboard syncing between iPhones and Windows PCs only in the European Union, at least at first.
